About
Hello world! I have been developing Ruby apps since 2008. I started at NextLogic, a software company in Singapore that catered to small and medium enterprises. I was tasked with implementing an airfare search app for a travel agency, a booking app for an aircon servicing company, and a class management app for a music school.
From 2009 to 2013, I worked as a freelance contractor through oDesk (now Upwork). During that time, I worked on two major projects: a feedback submission site and a website for a private airline. As a solo engineer for these projects, I gained experience not only in Ruby, but also in JavaScript, CSS, and server administration.
In 2013, I joined EdgiLife, the company behind lovewithfood.com. I was responsible for leading the development of several of the site's features, including the site's ecommerce product filtering, shopping cart, and survey database.
In 2018, EdgiLife was acquired by SnackNation. As part of SnackNation, I was involved in implementing the company's survey database.
In 2021, I joined Nebulab. I was part of the company's core team responsible for supporting and improving their open-source eCommerce Platform, Solidus (https://solidus.io). With Nebulab, I led the project of rebuilding Solidus's frontend component and getting it ready for release.
In 2023, I joined Liscio, where I'm responsible primarily for investigating and fixing bugs in a legacy codebase.
